2010-2022 Ram 2500/3500 Rear Steel Bumper

2016 Ram 3500. (REAR BUMPER only) Ill start by saying this is a very nice bumper and Im very happy with it. Due to installation issues (there was a 3/8" gap between the mounting plate on the bumper and the brackets on the frame rails) I called DV8 and they were very helpfull. They even offered to ship me a new bumper. They also freely admitted they were changing some design issues. In all... very honest and and would stand behind their products. Anyhow, I put the OEM spacer back in (DV8 didnt offer one) bought 1/2" grade 8 bolts and nyloks, put the impact on 'em and sucked it up. Worked just fine. The other issue with bumper is tow hooks were set(welded) about1/2" too high. One tow hook hit tailgate so I had to grind it down (pissed me off cause I had to grind thru the powder coat, but no choice).
Last issue i had was the lousy Mopar bezels. They just dont work on the rear bumper. I ended up filing the OEM bezels until they fit then the sensors snapped in perfect and tight. Mopar bezels are junk and the only way I could figure to set them tight was with epoxy. Id be screwed if i ever had to change a sensor.
In closing had I not had so many issues this would be 5 STAR. Again... super great customer service, an honest company and a great product. Id do it again even knowing the issues.

Packing was excellent. The wrapping doubles as a tarp to lay on while workinn on the truck. No instructions is quite annoying. So here are a few tips. Route the original truck lighting harnes BEFORE setting bumper -- otherwise you will have to lower the spare... Set the two bolts in the middle of the bumper first but do not tighten. Then get the new bolts and the bolts that are not used on the stock bumper and get them started. Then check the alignment carefully. The tailgate gets dangerously close if the bumper is cock-eyed. DV8 has a harness for the back lights.. buy that too... If you don't want to cut the wires on the original harness for the plate lights, twist the wires, and solder them lightly. Shove them in the connector and tape the poop out of it. I am trying to find a Ram product for that but no luck so far. Anyway.. go for it. It is a very cool bumper.

Bumper fits great and I love the side step. The sensor grommets I purchased from DV8 didnt work with the factory ram plugs. I will now need to drill the holes from 1 1/8 to 1 3/16 in order to reuse factory sensor grommets.

My 2014 Ram never looked so good. Very functional unit and a definitely well constructed product. My truck must use larger back up sensors and I had to use the factory bezels and enlarge the holes in the bumper. Use a step bit and have the drill on high speed. The steel is thick but cut well. The bezels have two plastic ridges that must be shaved off but when done it assembles very tightly. I did have to cut the sensor wire harness and extend it to fit the new locations but that was easy. Backup lights are bright and good quality. This was WELL worth the effort and makes the stock bumper look like it belongs on a Little Tykes Cozy Coupe. Highly recommend.

I received the bumper it had 2 small blemishes on the top corners of the bumper due to shipping ,but not too bad. The fit and finish is great ….!!! The backup sensors …….. I had to open the holes larger and at this time the sensors aren’t working properly.
I would like feed back on how to remedy this issue.
