Look great

These look great on my tj. Wish it had an easyer retention system like a butterfly spring or a single screw T nut that only rotates 90 degrees. It took alittle finesse to get the last one in. Start 1 screw on the upper and lower retainer, set grill cover in, use screw driver in-between the grill cover slats to swing the retainer up and install your last screw. Do a once over makes sure all are snug before sending it.

DV8 Offroad - 2005 Jeep LJ Grill Inserts

Got a really good price on these billet aluminum grill inserts from DV8 offroad. Package arrived in the time frame promised and I was continuously notified of the shipping progress. Items were well packaged. While there were no installation instruction enclosed, the install was intuitive and easily accomplished in about 30 minutes. The trick to installing them on the LJ is to start and one end and reach behind from the open slot adjacent to the previously installed insert to attach the brackets. For the last insert, install the brackets loosely with one screw and allow them to hang, position the insert in place and reach through the insert to move the loose end of the bracket into place and secure with the screws. After installing the inserts I decided that I wanted to paint them an accent color. After removing the inserts I sanded and prepped them, painted 3 coats of a Neon green lacquer and 2 coats of clear then reinstalled.. I have attached pictures of both the black insert as initially installed and the painted insert.
