DV8’s Director of Marketing and Lead CAD Designer Guest Star on The Jeep Life Podcast: DV8 on the Pod

Chandler, AZ - HPAG’s Director of Marketing Dom Sandri and DV8 Offroad’s Lead CAD Designer Ryan Winner were honored to join Jeepin’ Terry, Break-It Billy, and Jetty Jason on their latest episode of The Jeep Life Podcast: DV8 on the Pod. In the episode, they dive into DV8’s exhilarating R&D trips, popular product lines, and newest endeavors, as well as the unique Jeep culture prevalent in the U.S.

Dom, Ryan, and the hosts start off the podcast discussing popular Jeep trails and DV8’s content/R&D trips. Dom elaborates on the importance of these trips for connecting with the off-road community and testing the durability/functionality of their products. Later in the episode, Ryan goes into detail about DV8’s extensive process of developing new and legacy products. He mentions that “We really, especially DV8, love listening to our customer feedback. We have a lot of guys that are part of groups that we use to R&D our parts.” Ryan and Dom go into depth about how this feedback and their continuous engineering process led to them revamping their old legacy parts to make them, according to Dom, stronger, lighter, and easier to install with better fitment and an enhanced powder coat. Throughout the episode, DV8 hits home that their customers and the off-road/overland culture is always at the forefront during their R&D process.

The topic of DV8’s popular products comes up during the episode, and the hosts spend time talking about their favorite products that they have installed on their own rigs. They talk about the common issue of the weak factory netted pockets that come stock on Jeep’s, and how DV8 engineered a solution to this wide-spread problem: their steel pocket molle panels. Dom talks in depth about the different panels that they offer, and how they re-engineered the pockets to align with customers wants and needs. DV8’s inner fenders are also brought into the discussion, and how customers can choose to color match the accent panels. Ryan mentions how they implement this feature in a majority of their products, so “people can be creative with their own vehicle.” This customer centric mentality is what led to DV8’s idea for their newest product releases.

During the podcast, DV8’s newest endeavors become a topic of discussion. Dom and Ryan are excited to announce how they are developing bumpers for different subsets of avid off-road adventurers. Ryan states that “We also look at it (bumper design/styling) from a geographical kind of standpoint. You have a lot of West Coast guys out there that love crawling, but you have a lot of desert guys too that might not want a winch. So we try to cater to everybody in the operating industry.” They mention how this ties into their current goal of developing products for the various niches of the off-road community.

Overall, the podcast provides great insight into DV8’s research process, product offerings, and goals. The episode also offers engaging discussions about different sub-sets of the Jeep and off-road community as a whole. DV8 encourages you to check out The Jeep Life Podcast to dive into everything Jeep. If you are a Jeeper or off-road lover, their content is perfect for keeping up with the latest happenings in the off-road/overland community, and they will inspire you to get back out on the trail.
