New Images of the 2022 Bronco Raptor
Ford released official images of the Bronco Raptor, and although it's still covered in a light camouflage, these images clearly show some of the exterior features. The only other images we've previously seen were grainy spy shots that only gave you a vague impression of the upcoming SUV.
The official images were delivered to the public by Ford via Bronco Nation's website and social media. Earlier, Ford's CEO Jim Farley told us to "Hold onto your butts!" and released a short teaser video on Twitter. But now we can feast our eyes on clear, high-resolution images of the Bronco Raptor rallying in a mud pit.
It's clear that it's got a wider stance, and rolling on available 37-inch all-terrain tires. The fenders flare outwards further up from the tires than the currently available Broncos, allowing for more tire travel when driving at high speed through desert whoops. It will feature Fox Live Wire twin-tube bypass dampers, currently used by it's F-150 Raptor older brother. Ford has not released any information about it's powertrain, but we can assume it will be a stronger version of the V6 Ecoboost currently in use.
Although the interior is not visible, we're sure that it will contain all the same available features as the 2021 Bronco. What is visible, is the modular steel front bumper that's currently available. It's possible that many of the bumpers & accessories we've been developing for the 2021 model, will be compatible with this new high performance version. We're eager to get our hands on the Bronco Raptor when it hits the streets in 2022 to see!
