Toyota Reveals EV Concept Truck - New Tacoma Body Style?
Toyota revealed concept images for a fully electric pickup truck to be released sometime in the future. It looks most like a Tacoma in style, but certainly looks larger than the regular mid-sized pickup. We wouldn't be surprised if they branded it as the EV version of the next-gen Tacoma.
This particular EV truck has a crew-cab configuration, and rides at a height we would expect out of the Tacoma line. Underneath the hood is likely a front trunk (frunk) in place the usual engine, like we've seen in other EV models. The headlights look very similar to the 2022 Tundra. This EV Look at this side by side image of the EV Pickup concept and the 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro (with a killer snorkel). This EV concept truck could very well be a preview of the upcoming next generation 2023 Toyota Tacoma.
Toyota didn't release very much information about the truck, but we expect to hear much more from Toyota over this next year. There is also a fully-electric mini version of the FJ in the works. We imagine it will release along the same undisclosed timeline as the EV truck.
