The DV8 Offroad RRTT1-01 Toyota Tacoma Roof Rack utilizes existing holes in the roof of the Tacoma, and has the capability to add a 45-inch light bar (Brackets for 40-inch light bar included). The sides of the rack each have 2 mounting points for 6-inch single row light bars for side lighting options. The cross bars can be used to mount nearly anything imaginable, just slide a bolt head into the crossbar from the end and secure the other side with a nut.

*Note for Sunroof Equipped Tacomas: The sunroof can open completely inline with the truck's roof. However, raising the sunroof as a vent will contact the crossbar.

Tacoma Roof Rack

Well designed roof rack and quality materials. I was able to splice back in the trim on the roof giving the instalation a very finished look. Upgraded the hardware on the front and rear plates to 1/4-20 stainless hex bolts with nylock nuts for safety.

Good price good value

Overall very happy with this rack. It’s sturdy, plenty of mounting options for accessories. I bought mine to install an awning and am very happy. The cross bars do sit close to the roof but I haven’t had an issue with that. The wind screen does vibrate if you mount it too high. Mine came with a rubber trim piece I installed on the lower portion and sat it as low as it could go, problem solved. Easy install and let’s not lie, it looks bada$$!

You get what you pay for.

Rack material and hardware are better than expected. DV8 should spend a little more R&D on this roof rack.

The cross bars only leave about a millimeter of space between the roof of the truck and the bars which is too close for comfort.
(Fix: drilled new holes about half an inch above the pre drilled holes to move the bars higher)

The wind deflector at its highest setting was able to flap in the wind enough to make contact with my roof above 50mph.
(Fix: drilled new holes to move deflector up 1/4 of an inch)

The most rear support is a real flapper too. The part that goes over the antenna has no support and can be moved enough to make contact with the antenna by just pushing down with your fingers
(Fix: no fix yet)

Overall, it was pretty difficult to get the roof rack to mount properly, but once you get it all figured out it’s a very sturdy rack. I’m definitely not upset with the rack especially after my modifications, but just be aware before buying.
