Definitely a winner!

After shopping around the a suitable dead pedal for my JT, I came across this one. It checked a bunch of boxes off for me that others on the market did not; beefy, adjustable, doesn't sit on the floor mat, and installs easily. Finally got around to installing my DV8 dead pedal this past weekend and LOVE IT. The instructions tell you to allot an hour for install but I had my tools put away after only 20 minutes or so. I got it loosely assembled on the bench, then installed it in the truck. I sat in the seat and decided that "full out" was good for me, then squeezed myself between the seat and the dash to get all four bolts tight. I do have a couple suggestions for DV8 and those installing this pedal. First, the width between the mount ears on the firewall piece was a bit wider than that of the pedal. I couldn't get the nuts to start if I used all four split washers, so I ditched two on one side and had no issue with install after that. A set of nylock nuts in place of the split washers/conventional nuts would be the better move, but I doubt its going to loosen up on me. If it does, a quick trip to the hardware store and I am good to go. Secondly, I think it would have been way easier if, after deciding on position, I removed the pedal assembly entirely to torque the all four bolts/nuts. Getting in there with a pair of wrenches was a bit of a pain, but again, it only took me 20min to get this thing installed and ready for use. Totally recommend this pedal. Its something Jeep should have installed from the factory as I find myself using it without even thinking about it.
